The taste

The kitchen at Storfjord Hotel, is renowned for its passion for local food.

The hotel is proud of its close partnership with local food farms and beverage producers. This is reflected in all the food that we serve in our restaurant here at Storfjord. We want all of our guests to experience the taste of Storfjord, in the dining room with great views towards the mountain and the fjord.

À la Carte menu created by Nils Flatmark, our new Executive Head Chef and F&B Manager at Storfjord. Nils, the reigning Norwegian Champion in culinary arts, is the only Norwegian chef with 2 gold medals in the Nordic Championship and the first-ever Nordic Green Chef of the Year. He's also a member of the Norwegian national culinary team and contributed to their gold medal victory in the 2020 Culinary Olympics.

Nils's food philosophy centers on using seasonal ingredients, primarily Norwegian and preferably local and organic, with a special emphasis on plant-based cuisine. He often spends his days off foraging ingredients from the forests surrounding our hotel. Nils is dedicated to honoring local producers through his menus, believing that without farmers, chefs wouldn't be able to create. Choosing Norwegian producers is choosing a vibrant Norway.

Storfjord Brygg to compliment the experience of the Norwegian traditional tastes, a Nordic home brew belongs to your meal. At Storfjord you can taste the hotels own beer "Storfjord Brygg" - made by the local brewery exclusively for us.
